Planning an event is exciting, but let’s face it: sometimes things happen. A dropped glass, a sudden rain shower, or even a chair leg breaking during a lively dance. Events rarely go off without a minor hitch! Our Damage Waiver is designed to help you focus on your guests and the celebration, not the worry of minor, accidental damage.

What Our Damage Waiver Covers

• Minor Accidental Breakage: This includes simple accidents like a glass being dropped, a chair leg breaking during normal use, or a minor scratch on a table.

• Removable Stains on Linens: We cover accidental stains on our beautiful linens that our professional cleaning services can successfully remove.

• Minor Tent Damage: This covers minor, non-structural damage to tent poles, fittings, or fabric.

In short: if you accept the waiver, we agree to waive our right to recover the cost of repair or replacement for these certain accidental damages. This allows you to relax and truly enjoy the event you worked so hard to create!

What the Damage Waiver Does NOT Cover (The Exclusions)

It is crucial to understand that our Damage Waiver is NOT insurance. It is a protection against minor, accidental damage. You remain fully responsible for certain losses or damages billed at the current, retail replacement cost.

• Missing, Lost, or Stolen Items: The waiver does not cover any equipment that is lost, stolen, or vanishes mysteriously (vandalism or theft).

• Gross Negligence or Misuse: We cannot cover damage from intentional abuse, failure to follow proper setup/teardown instructions, or gross negligence. For example, leaving a pop-up tent unsecured in high winds (over 30mph) or tampering with tent anchors are major exclusions.

• Loss of Small Accessories: Small, non-serialized items like tent stakes, ropes, power cords, and protective caps are not covered.

• Water/Weather Damage to Non-Waterproof Items: Damages to items like electronics or upholstered furniture caused by exposure to rain, water, or other extreme weather events are excluded.

• Third-Party Damage: The waiver does not cover damage or injury to persons or property caused by the use or possession of the equipment.

• Failure to Return: Equipment not returned by the end date of the rental agreement is not covered.

Choosing Your Coverage: Opt-In or Opt-Out

When booking your rentals, you have a clear choice.

Opt-In: Peace of Mind

• Cost: A non-refundable 12% charge is added to your contract.

• Benefit: Alexander Party Rentals covers the cost of repair or replacement for minor, accidental damages.

Opt-Out: Full Responsibility

• If you choose to opt out of the Damage Waiver, you acknowledge that you will be billed for any breakage or damages at the current, retail replacement cost, regardless of the cause.
